October 2021 Group Read Nominations

It's barely on the past reading list....May 2017 - can we make an exception and get it on the poll?

I nominate +1 Summer Sons, by Lee Mandelo
Also +1 Horseman, by Christina Henry
And I'll also go with Cackle, which sounds like fun.

+1 Cold Moon Over Babylon since I'm in a Michael McDowell mood.
Also:
+1 for The Rib From Which I Remake the World by Ed Kurtz.
(Owned it for years, still haven't read it!)

My Heart Is a Chainsaw
For my pick since I have personal friends wh..."
House of Leaves was May 2017, if that's eligible, then +1 for House of Leaves. I've also started it a few times and gotten sidetracked!

I ended up giving it 3 stars, when I expected it to be a 5. :9(

I'll +1 My Heart is a Chainsaw and House of Leaves! Nice choices :)
You guys are killing it, this is going to be so much fun. I think I'm going to have to go on a search of my copy of House of Leaves, it's actually free for Kindle Unlimited users but I think with this book the paper copy is nice as well, so hoping to find mine soon.

Always such a gentleman, thank you :)

Ruh-oh. That's my fear. I read "The Only Good Indians" after excitedly winning an ARC. It was such a disappointment. It's the only book of his I've read so I'm approaching any books of his with trepidation. I was afraid MHIAC might be the same...

I have two totally different books I'd like to nominate.
The Library of the Unwritten
Many years ago, Claire was named Head Librarian of the Unwritten Wing—a neutral space in Hell where all the stories unfinished by their authors reside. Her job consists mainly of repairing and organizing books, but also of keeping an eye on restless stories that risk materializing as characters and escaping the library. When a Hero escapes from his book and goes in search of his author, Claire must track and capture him with the help of former muse and current assistant Brevity and nervous demon courier Leto.
But what should have been a simple retrieval goes horrifyingly wrong when the terrifyingly angelic Ramiel attacks them, convinced that they hold the Devil's Bible. The text of the Devil's Bible is a powerful weapon in the power struggle between Heaven and Hell, so it falls to the librarians to find a book with the power to reshape the boundaries between Heaven, Hell ... and Earth.
The Last House on Needless Street
This is the story of a serial killer. A stolen child. Revenge. Death. And an ordinary house at the end of an ordinary street.
All these things are true. And yet they are all lies...
You think you know what's inside the last house on Needless Street. You think you've read this story before. That's where you're wrong.
In the dark forest at the end of Needless Street, lies something buried. But it's not what you think...

I've been wanting to read this for ages but I want to own a physical copy for the full experience! So maybe this will motivate me to fork out for it lol.

Stolen Tongues my favorite… and My heart is … I haven’t read yet so that’s cool too.
