There's her contemporary romance series with no romantic suspense in them. Gansett Island, Green Mountain & Butler, Vermont.

Fantastic! I love Overdrive and Libby, they make it so easy to get books that I could never read otherwise, like some of the more expensive fantasy books or history books that I enjoy.

Me too Alicia. I haaaate zombies. Will not read a zombie book ever or watch a movie. I'm a little wimp with horror stuff.

This was ok, except I *really* didn't like the heroine Janey. She was selfish as all get out with how she acted towards Joe. I did like how she stood up to everyone's pressure to get back together with her cheating ex, but it wasn't enough to redeem her in my eyes. I am interested in the next book though, so I'll probably see if it's available at my library 😊

So heres the thing. This female MC I saw a lot of my early teenage years in. I too developed super early and I also had rumours made up about me sleeping with guys I'd never even spoken to! Other schools even had a nickname about me... so I completely see this, I never really realised but yeah it 100% affected my dating and self esteem like Maddie.
Back to the romance and not my emotional trauma. I did like it but it felt very quick. I just don't believe that you can fall in love within a week and considering what she went through would someone like that reaaally fall in love that quick and trust a stranger with her child? I just doubt it personally...

I noticed as this series continued, the author didn't do as much insta love but introduces them, they have a good start but things progress into love in future books. But I really love Mac and Maddie.

Rating/Review: 4 stars - This book has about 45 chapters and gets us up to date with most of the characters from previous books. The new couple introduced in this book are Dana & Oliver, who lost their little boy about a year before and are trying to get their life back. I really loved seeing what's going on with all the couples and of course, there were weddings, babies born, etc. I enjoy this series in between some of the mystery/thrillers that I read.

Not sure how much I'll read of this series as its not on KU and 3.99 for a book I liked but didn't love is steep to me.

If you ever want to try #2, Megan, I have the kindle version and it is lendable. I also have #6 and #7. I didn't look beyond that.
