I liked this read! I also read the next one in the series as well. I need to get back to the Misters. Hope you enjoy!

LOL. Yes!
I love Huss & have read most of her books! Last year, a friend read most of one author's books so she could get a real feel for her writing. So I did that too with Huss - 20 books or so last year. It was amazing - I got a lot more out of her books - plus she connects her books through her characters, themes, & drawings. And just my kind of writer.
So this will be second time reading Mister series...two favs are Mr. Perfect - gah, the breakfast scene - & Mr. Mysterious. Can't wait to read it again. :)

Review: We met Freya and Aiden in the 1st and 2nd book of the series. They were the already established couple, so you think that they have their HEA.
Which brings me to the reason why I loved this book. It shows the reality of marriage in a way I appreciated. A lot of people tend to think getting married is the end of the line, but fail to realize that marriage takes work, and that people evolve and change in many ways throughout the years. This book showcases how important it is to continue to get to the person that you chose/choose to spend your life with. It shows how the past can still effect how we live our lives in the present.
Freya and Aiden have been married for about 10 yrs. They love one another, which you can see, but they've hit a rough patch in their marriage and they have to figure out how to work through it. All while trying to hide it while on vacay with Freya's family (only from her parents though).
Another thing I love is the Bergmans, every last one of them. I want to be adopted into this family. They love and support each other so openly.

Review: One of my fav books by Huss & so it definitely deserved a re-read. McAllister is one sexy dude & Ellie's boss. The chemistry between the two as he becomes obsessed with her is sizzling hot & rivals the best office romance book around. Watch out for the office breakfast scene & more (view spoiler) . And, as part of my Huss re-read plan, Mr. Mysterious, the other fabulous book in the series is next up. Also, The Boyfriend Experience - a crazy slow burn romance with “gifted” mogul Lawton & local brewery owner Oaklee. Last, a very dark erotic read - Meet Me in the Dark - about Sydney held captive by Merc, a brutal assassin. Fun. 😉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: Kay and Mase were my first of Alley's couples and one of my first reviews. I adore this book. Kay is a pint sized human with a giant of snark and brains hidden under her rainbow hair. Mase is an utter self absorbed caveman in this book. Since it's been so long from the last time I've read this book, it was great to see all the UofJ kids from the start. I had also forgotten how much I love #TheGram chapters.
I highly recommend this sports romance to everyone. It ends on a massive cliffhanger, but all three books for this couple are out and published. The full story ARC is crazy and intense. Alley's dialogue and her layered characters are what I have fallen in love with the most.

Review: The Psycho was a dark and sexy stalker romance. Man, I want a stalker if he is Adam, only Adam. He was ruthless, obsessive and oh so hot. Once he had his eyes set on anything that he wanted he stopped at NOTHING to get it. I devoured this book!! This was dark, gritty and so so sexy. Hello dark room!!!! Holy HOTNESS!! I can't wait to read other books about this crew!

Review: A melty, romantic, erotic book that wraps you up with the goodness of a good guy who is as sexy and smooth as a Macallan single malt scotch. Set in London, American tatted Cath has had her eye on a perfectly suited & briefcased British man she's dubbed City & seen on the tube. One night, he finds her in trouble after a blind date & takes her home & much City goodness ensues, even within the hour...
City: "Is your head feeling better, Mary Catherine?"
Cath: "Yes, thank you." He licked her collarbone, kissed behind her ear, nibbled her lower lip. "Call me Cath"
City: "No, I don't think I shall." He grasped her by the waist and lifted her... "I'm taking you to bed now Mary Catherine."
Cath: "Yeah." she whispered "I think I'd like that."
And the story starts...

Review: I honestly didn't like the men on Sam's crew in the beginning, because the came across as immature boys instead of men. They eventually grew on me though.
Sam, and some members of her crew, get wasted and then drugs and kidnaps Falke (in shifter form) without knowing who/what he is. The get the surprise of their lives when the realize what's going on.
Falke is super hot from the moment he wakes up as a man, fully nude and well-hung. I loved the banter between him and Sam and the sexy times, which were the saving grace for this story.
So you get out of this world sexiness with a bit of adventure, plus 2 adults who don't know how to talk to each other about their feelings.

Review: This book was fun, and I liked the characters, but I felt that pieces of the storyline could have been built out further. The hero is a twin and his twin sister is the complete opposite of him. He's the nerd and an introvert, She's the extrovert who needs to be on the go. The heroine is the twin's best friend who gets accepted into grad school at the last minute and winds up in a housing crunch - thus moving in with the hero as a temporary fix. The heroine is also an introvert by nature - which the twin sister just doesn't seem to understand. The main characters are well written and well formed. The heroine isn't a push over. Nor is she a fade into the background sort. She's focused, engaged in life, and very heavily goal oriented. The hero is a little too set in his ways for his age and his occupation. He didn't ring quite true for me in his job. The side characters drove me crazy. They seemed to be there to stir up the plot and create the tension, but it was surface drama at a middle school level sort of stuff. Such as a lawyer who had meet the heroine at a bar one night when she was out with her friends. He keeps randomly being mentioned until she finally says "thanks but no thanks" he goes off on some huffy "do you know who i'm going to be" sort of rant and then ghosts...yet for the rest of the story people keep asking if "she's okay" or "is it Grant? do you feel threatened?" When Grant hasn't been mentioned for a good three chapters and never ever comes back into the plot.
The twin sister is her own set of high school drama. She's supposedly in college and the same as has the two MCs - one who hit big as an underclassman with a tech app and her bestie who is now in.....grad school? Yet the author writes this twin as if she is still in an undergrad program. Absolutely no details of her life, or where her anxiety or her angst or her worries for her twin brother are coming from are offered, yet she keeps "letting her self" into his apartment or texting her bestie to "make sure he isn't hiding away and being Booooooorrrrriiiinnnnngggg" at the end she winds up selling them a house and suddenly - BOOM crazy successful relator. With one sale. To a family member.
I've read this author before. As well as his sister's books. I actually really enjoyed the other books by him that I've read. He does a great job of writing both sexes. I know in his earlier books he and his sister co wrote or at the very least she would help him iron kinks out if his plots. I'm hoping this was a one off where they were both writing outside of their comfort zone and it just fell flat. If I were his editor - I would have had a ton of red lines, rewritten some interactions, made the book more company focused for the hero, made the heroine more school focused, turned the plot into tension between her degree and his company, layered in the conflict of interest of living together through a temporary situation via the twin/best friend. Have her move out in the midst of a crazy upheaval at the company because she's also been hired on as their marketing consultant and then put the app they're taking to market be in danger and .. yeah. I'd just rewrite this book. Oh well.

LUCKILY - no soccer till Saturday! PSATs for the daughter this week. Jazz Band tryouts for the son this week. Spouse on travel this week. Ergo - RL should be DULL and QUIET!
I'm so very very very done with soccer after this weekend. It was played. It was watched. Then we hung out with the parents and the boys either played soccer or American football based video games or we watched nations league and world cup qualifier games. I keep waiting for someone to tell me there is "stoppage time" when I announce it's time to go to bed or some other crazy daily thing.

Review: I really liked Salem, but Arrow... I just couldn't get on board. I felt like he used her over and over and over again. He made it seem like he didn't know that she was obsessed with him. He had to have known. I felt like he was cruel on purpose. I understand that they came to a mutual agreement about their "relationship", but I didn't like how he took out all his anger on her. Even though that was the plan. I felt like he DID redeem himself... at the end. Every other the page, not so much. Iadored her St Mary's friends. They were always in her corner. I sure hope Roman in Gorgeous Villain can be the ultimate redemption for me.

Review: I’ve been really enjoying this series and it’s been a nice surprise. I thought it would be fluffy & pink but it’s more than that. This story is about Julie Greene, a magazine writer, who’s in love with flings, first dates & first kisses. Julie’s assigned a new story writing about the shift from dating to a more serious relationship…a new world to her. Enter Mitchell Forbes a sexy workaholic who’s strictly a relationship guy - who will be “helping” her with her story. I loved watching the dance between these two. Flirting, fun, confusion, connection. Lots of chemistry. I think what made this book especially good was Mitchell’s character - such a hot book boyfriend. Also Layne’s great writing and how she develops her characters - both the MCs and secondaries. Need a light story? Recommend.

Review: This is story about a serial killer with six teens already murdered. Psychiatrist Gwen Moore, expert on killers, gets drawn into an analysis of the case by attorney Robert Kavin, one of the fathers whose son was killed. I won't say much about the story because I don't want to give anything away. This is very fast and fantastic read. Holds your attention, good writing & characters. I think I held my breath the whole time cause it was always moving so fast & my eyes were glued to the page. Plus not very gory...really appreciate that. You don't know who dunn it until very late in the story, giving us just very subtle clue crumbs. Still some bits not answered...red herrings?

Review: It was SO nice to be back with The Four again! I've missed this group of friends so much. There is something very special about their friendship. They are brothers and fiercely protective of the ones they love. If you're in their tight group, consider yourself a friend for life. Get on their bad side and they will rain down hell on you.
Cassius was everything! I adored getting to know him in the first 3 books. He is the fun playboy. Always smiling and making things light when they are filled with so much darkness. Behind the smile, behind the laugh, behind the charmer is a boy a bit broken. Feels like he needs to not show his friends that he is fact human and can be hurt, sad or angry.
If you're in the mood for a sexy frenemies to lovers read this one is for you. It is a standalone, but reading the previous books will just sweeten this book and help you fall in more in love with these characters.
