Slow Curve on the Coquihalla is the first book in the Highway Mysteries series, and was recently released in audiobook format. It is narrated by John Hanks, an experienced narrator/producer. The Coquihalla is the sometimes treacherous mountain highway in British Columbia featured in the Discovery TV series Highway Thru Hell.

The Highway Mysteries feature a former RCMP homicide investigator who has taken to the roads of western North America as a long haul trucker. The hours of solitude in the cab of his Freightliner are a salve for his PTSD, but he can't seem to avoid getting involved in murder investigations.

The series takes the reader from Southern California to Alaska, and points between. They are traditional mysteries with multiple suspects and a minimum of violence but in a realistic setting involving truckers, swear words are unavoidable.
