I didn't think about her connection until very close to the reveal. I bought into her brainwashing, and the love/admiration for the group and their leader. I would have locked on her if she went to Black when they returned from seeing Kim at the school. She believed Tink didn't talk to Kim.
That was a blindside for me. Didn't connect Britney to the murders at all although in hindsight she was an obvious possibility. Nice twist. Angela Marsons has used this plot device before with Alex Thorne calling the shots. In this case it was Jake Black manipulating a damaged person.
I didn't connect Britney to the murders. I just thought that she had been indoctrinated into the cult and was blindly following Jake Black's rules.
Robin wrote: "I didn't connect Britney to the murders. I just thought that she had been indoctrinated into the cult and was blindly following Jake Black's rules."I think everyone felt the same way, Robin. Hiding Britney in plain sight was a clever twist.
I just thought she was Jake’s tool, completely under his thrall. She did give me pause when she stole from that woman in her home. But, it wasn’t until that final confrontation that I realized she was a murderer.
I thought her stealing was under Jake's direction. He had followers steal from their parents, I can see him getting them to steal from little, old ladies.
I knew Jake was about money but wasn’t convinced he’d be on board with petty thievery. Too much to risk reputationally with small stuff like this since law enforcement thought they were lawful. This kind of stuff would bring unwanted attention and he was so careful. That’s why I thought Britney was doing this on her own.
