Sherri Harris | 1502 comments I had a good reading day today. I even listened to an hour of audio while busy. I will finish The Obelisk Gate tomorrow. I have a contemporary romance lined up next. I usually zip through those.

I'm in the middle of a couple of longer books, so not sure if I'll finish anything.

message 103: by Joyce (new)

Joyce | 614 comments A black and white cover would be great Irene as I’m half way through a long-haired book. Does anyone have a green cover lined up? If not, I’ll try for something quick in green. Then we will have two rehabilitated of every kind.

Irene (irene5) | 922 comments Okay, black and white cover it is! Looking for Alaska looks short and quick.

Sandra Lourenço (ssandraa) | 180 comments Hello team! I finished Awakened last night and added it to the Wraith prompt "A paranormal book" as I don't think it fits anywhere else.

Great job everyone!

message 107: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments Hi All. I finished The Obelisk Gate. I put it under Dragons, A book with a letter found in Norbert. My Next read is Crazy Stupid Bromance (Bromance Book Club, #3) by Lyssa Kay Adams . It has a picture of a cat on the cover so if I finish I will probably use it there. I didn't put it under plans because we have ran out of columns again. I figure at this late stage there isn't any use adding more.

I've read Drowned Country (The Greenhollow Duology, #2) by Emily Tesh
today and entered it up for Green Cover, which should finish our second ogre.

Not sure whether I'll go for
The Hobbit, or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien
now (definitely a firey character, I'd say, and maybe also be a predominantly red/orange cover!) or try to finish
Axiom's End (Noumena, #1) by Lindsay Ellis
(also a red/orange cover). There isn't time for both, though, I don't think.

Caitie | 144 comments hope to make some good progress on Light Perpetual today!

message 110: by Joyce (new)

Joyce | 614 comments Wow! So many second creatures entering monster rehab today. If you went for the fiery character Trish, I could read Love Simon Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli for the red cover and just maybe we could pick up dragon number three?

Okey dokey. I'll do my best with The Hobbit, then.

Joyce | 614 comments Gadzooks, the second banshee is secured. Good luck with The Hobbit Trish - that sounds like a lot of reading!

message 114: by Irene (new)

Irene (irene5) | 922 comments About to finish Looking for Alaska for the B&W cover so we can complete our full second round of monster rehabilitation! This will be pushing it but I might be able to finish Voices from Chernobyl as another B&W cover tomorrow too for a third wraith if no one else is reading one currently.

message 115: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments Good Morning Team. I'm sad today is our last day. I always enjoy Read-A-Thons & working with my team. I was looking at all our badges & we have done great. I have 196 pages left in Crazy Stupid Bromance. I have a lot going on during the day but will see what I can read this evening. Good luck everyone with finishing books & individual challenges.

message 116: by Karissa (new)

Karissa | 440 comments Hi All, happy last day of read-a-thon! I read a lot yesterday but didn't finish any books because I ended up DNF'ing one book. I still want to try to finish French Exit today, but I'm not sure it will help us get any last monsters sadly.

message 117: by Caitie (new)

Caitie | 144 comments hi everyone! I hope to finish Light Perpetual today. it was a rough start but I'm finally getting into it. it could fill in one of the prompts for the last dragon (source of light)

message 118: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2994 comments I finally finished The House in the Cerulean Sea. I can see why people like it, but not really my cup of tea.

message 119: by Joyce (new)

Joyce | 614 comments I've finished Love, Simon and entered it for the red dragon. And since it's tea time and my partner is starting to pine that's me about finished.

To misquote Douglas Adams - so long and thanks for all the wraiths!

message 120: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments I will definitely finish Crazy Stupid Bromance very soon. I will put it under dragons a book with an animal print.

I'm afraid I'm not going to get The Hobbit finished this evening. I've got about half-way through it, so at least I'll add the number of pages I did managed (200pg) to the count.

I will finish Have His Carcase today, which goes under Rural Town

message 123: by Karissa (new)

Karissa | 440 comments I just finished Yearbook which was pretty funny and I highly recommend listening to on audio. But I don't see any prompts that it would really fit in. I still want to try finishing French Exit and after looking through the list again, I'm pretty sure the mother would count as a fiery character so we could get another dragon.

message 124: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments My last check in. I have enjoyed working with all of you this week. Thanks for all the hours read & fun.

message 125: by Karissa (new)

Karissa | 440 comments Woohoo I finished French Exit and put it under a fiery character to complete our third dragon. It's been a great read-a-thon with everyone!

Thanks, team!
