Up to chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ I like it so far but I wish it would go faster. I’m really curious about Meg and her abilities and the controller she was under. I’m dying for Simon to learn more about Meg just to see how he would react. I wonder if the smell of her hair is due to what she is. I think I’m starting to really like Tess. I wonder what she is!!! Chapter 15-16 (view spoiler)[ I think Meg and her relationship with the Others has come a long way. These two chapters proved it. I loved how everyone was so worried about what happened with Meg when the bomb went off. I thought the whole special meat thing was funny and how everyone wanted a part of the guy that tried to hurt Meg. Even Simon and Meg finally found some way to get along with each other. The movie scene was adorable. (hide spoiler)]

Finished! (view spoiler)[ I really enjoyed Written in Red. I didn't expect to enjoy it that much but this book had everything for me. I loved Meg and Simon and all the other characters. The world was so interesting and has so much more potential. I hope we learn more about the blood prophets and also the other "species" in this world. I hated Asia Crane and I'm glad she died in the end. I enjoyed seeing Meg's development throughout the book. She was so scared and frail in the beginning but so determined to get a life outside of her controller. I enjoyed seeing her grow and develop relationships with everyone in the compound. Overall, I'm excited for the rest of the series! (hide spoiler)]

I am intrigued by the addition of the other Elementals. The lakes, and Ocean, and Sharkguard.

I am still feeling hopeless about the humans. They amazingly keep getting stupider but at least their are more smart humans joining the group now too.

I'm so proud of Meg for taking that big step with Simon! You go girl!

I'm also proud of how Meg and Hope are continuing to figure out ways to not cut and to get past their addiction to the euphoria.

I felt bad for Hope and Meg that they saw horrible things when they did cut but at least it helped spur them to warn all the wolves in a manner they couldn't forget.

I was really sad that Joe died. I'm mad at the stubborn wolves who didn't listen to him.

At least the humans now know what's out there. Thank god Nicolas is dead. I hope 'pater' is dead as well. It's likely.

I'm really happy that Meg is seeing a therapist to work on her issues. I'm hoping it will help her be physical with Simon.

Thank god Skippy isn't really hurt. I am so happy that Jimmy was torn apart like he was. I just wish he had suffered even more! -.-

I just finished recently! I'm just really bad at updates. But it's sooo hard to update and read this book. I just wanna keep reading. It wasn't as good as the first one in my opinion but I honestly enjoyed it just as much as the first one because we see much more of Meg and Simon.

Finished! (view spoiler)[ Okay, I had something to say for each chapter and many MANY different adorable scenes that I adore but I'll be here all day typing. So, I enjoyed this book as much as the first. However, I think the first one was better. The actual plot of finding the girls and taking out the controller felt very slow. Then rushed at the end. Honestly, I didn't mind that since it gave us more room enjoy Meg and Simon scenes. However, I'm glad that Meg's friend Jean was set free. I'm curious of what will happen to the rest of the cassandra sangue. It was implied that they might be killed but that may change in the next book. I enjoyed seeing more of my fav supporting characters: Sam, Nathan, Tess, Meri Lee, Henry, and Vlad. There's even Skippy and Ruth now! I'm glad that Meri Lee was more present in this book. It's interesting to see Bishop depict humans vulnerable but strong in their own ways. That's all I can remember for now but honestly, I can talk about this book for days...maybe even weeks.
