message 10: by Cat (new)

Cat | 612 comments Mod
we only have a rough idea for the last room that connects with some of the others but that probably won't happen until the 7th room (maybe idk yet)

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

You start at the entrance. You can wait for people or just go in yourself self.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

♕King♛ | 5 comments a couple questions

1. Do we have to follow exactly the bio templet given to us?
2. Just to be sure, you arnt open for Orcs, Draglings (i cant remeber their names), ect. nor are mixes (of like, a mix of a dawrf and elf, ect)
2. Are necromancers allowed?
3. do padlins be only christan padlins?
4. do scorcers/wizards practice multipule types of magic? (like a wizard could practice fire and earth. or only 1.)
5. Are witches allowed? (they get magic from the earth, or objects)

1. You don’t need to follow the template exactly so long as you have a full character and it is usable in the game. Feel free to expand on things you want.

2. Correct this takes place in history so no typical fantasy races or mixed fantasy races. But you are allowed to pick a race that is rooted in folklore from the time. In example say satyr. Or you can pick a race that is flavored human. For example a Goliath is a tall human and a half king is a short human.

3. Yes necromancers are allowed if you can get it to work within the dnd rules and your character level. At level 4 you won’t be resurrecting draugers.

4. Yes paladins and clerics come from the Christian background or could be Jewish as well. If you want something similar from a different religious persuasion you can make yourself an eldritch knight and pick any pagan religion you desire. Just know that because this is historical some things like say plate armor don’t exist yet.

5. Magic users are made per the dnd rules. So yes they can theoretically cast any spell they want but characters have to pick a speciality as per dnd. So while you won’t be a pyromancer per day. You might mostly be casting fire spells with the occasional illusion spell.

6. Witches are allowed and that would be under the warlock category in the dnd classes.

7. Because this is historical that means that different cultures have different takes on gender roles and views on outsiders. Some Roman’s are pagans and some are Christian. So some might want to burn you at the stake for playing a satyr and some might want to party with you. But Romans at this time are very sexist. So if you are playing a female warrior. The Germanic barbarians might treat you seriously but the Roman will laugh in your face no matter how good at it you are.

In the same vain the Germanic barbarians might not respect a bard or cleric. And depending upon your magical origins some cultures might like you less or more. If you are a warlock the barbarians might take what you have to say quite seriously as you are seen as a person who can draw power from nature. While Romans might see you as a devil worshipper. The opposite is true of the cleric or paladin. The Roman’s will respect them as virtuous while the barbarians might see them as charlatans.

Klown - Poe ~link click era~ | 7 comments Like a dragon human type thing? Idk i made it up im just really confused can someone explain what Dungeon and dragons is and how to play?

message 18: by Austin (new)

Austin | 1127 comments Mod
Dungeons and dragons is a roleplaying game. It is where we make up fictional characters with stats and roleplay as if we are those characters in the story told to us by the Dungeon master.

Think of it almost like a video game or interactive story.

Klown - Poe ~link click era~ | 7 comments Oh ok how does the character template work i was confused by the stat stuff and everything as we as how do rp? (Since it is online after all) dies someone be the game master or something?

message 20: by Austin (new)

Austin | 1127 comments Mod
well currently I am running a dnd Campaign set in ancient Rome. So less fantasy than normal dnd. But you are welcome to join my game if that interests you. I can help you make a stat sheet. But the first thing we would need if for you to think of a character.

 Klown - Poe ~link click era~ | 7 comments Yep I'm familiar with it

message 24: by Austin (new)

Austin | 1127 comments Mod

Klown - Poe ~link click era~ | 7 comments Not yet but I'll work on it

Michael "19 years of ok" | 31 comments can i make a artificer?

message 29: by Austin (new)

Austin | 1127 comments Mod
Well it depends on the campaign. Batman is making a proper dnd campaign. My campaign is set during the fall of the Roman Empire in historical history.

My campaign, Instruments of Fate, is ready to start. Has been for ages. No one has replied though. And yeah. Artificers are awesome.

Are a automatic and pistol allowed?

The Batman (Reagan) (thebatman7424) | 293 comments Mod
No. I'd prefer to disallow modern technology in my campaign.

Ok then

Michael "19 years of ok" | 31 comments should i aim for alchemist or artillerist?

message 38: by Austin (new)

Austin | 1127 comments Mod
I think artillerist would be cooler. But alchemist probably fits the setting more.

The Batman (Reagan) (thebatman7424) | 293 comments Mod
I've changed my mind on guns if you use these mechanics. Might even want to take levels in Gunslinger Fighter.

Michael "19 years of ok" | 31 comments Ok is their a limit on type of guns?

The Batman (Reagan) (thebatman7424) | 293 comments Mod
Any of the options on the list. Aesthetically, I'd say they're steampunky flintlocks, if that makes sense.

The Batman (Reagan) (thebatman7424) | 293 comments Mod
Oh. Oops. I forgot the link. Hold up.

Michael "19 years of ok" | 31 comments So artliertist it is

Michael "19 years of ok" | 31 comments what level does the character have to be?

message 47: by Austin (new)

Austin | 1127 comments Mod
It is level 1

Post your guy then feel free to post on the campaign.

Michael "19 years of ok" | 31 comments forgot to ask is there i template I use?

The Batman (Reagan) (thebatman7424) | 293 comments Mod
Not a blank one, as far as I know. Just copy someone's and fill it inyourself.
