SOLVED. Children Picture Book 80's or 90's. Squirrel and friend looking for his nuts in the snow. [s]

I remember being read this picture book as a kid around the late 80's to early 90's. The story is of a squirrel going to a friends house to help hunt for it's nuts. The friend being a bear, was planning of sleeping due to it being winter. The use the squirrel's map to hunt for the nuts but get lost in the forest. Luckily the bear sweater or scarf was caught in the door and they follow the yarn back home. When they get back home, the squirrel remember that the nuts are under the door mat. The last page has them enjoy the nuts by the fire. That is all I can remember, other then the picture were beautiful but simple.
