I can't even begin to explain the way I feel about this book. The much anticipated story of Blay and Qhuinn was as amazing as I hoped it would be. I'm still crying! It was a rich story, with so much more to build on and new stories to wait for! My advice? Lock all the doors, turn off your phone, grab the kleenex, and don't stop reading until the very last word.

Review: Interestingly, Tessa Dare decided to open two of her series with an injured male protagonist, and the female protagonist saves him from their anti-social life.
Izzy was super sassy, funny, and that perfect amount of nieve needed to balance out Ransom's stern, arrogant, alpha male Duke.
Ms. Dare does have one of the very best voices of humorous historical romances. Here she cleverly weaves in the fairy tale theme with her heroine's father, a writer of fictional tales, the hero (albeit a brooding) knight-in-shining-armor, the plain, penniless but quick-witted and resourceful heroine, and the setting in a castle. There's also an amusing, re-enactment society, fans of Izzy's father's stories.

I love this series. I've read it twice now. I really love Kim's story. She went through so much and remained strong. Sure, she had problems, but she overcame them. I also love Raoul. He is so patient and understanding. I love the way he treats Kim and how protective he is in general.
Overall, this is a great book. I know that I'll read it again along with the rest of the series and any new books that are released.

Review:
Lenny had a brief relationship with Jonah a couple of years ago while she was in France, and then he ghosted her. When Jonah shows up in her hometown of Austin, Lenny doesn't want anything to do with him, but there are reasons that she feels she must interact with the guy. All Jonah wants to do is apologize and to see if maybe they can start again.
There were so many secrets that Lenny was keeping, although I did guess them. The build between the two was slow, as they slowly regained what they had before Jonah went incommunicado. I liked the relationship between Lenny and her grandfather, and the relationship with her best friend seemed solid and affirming, too. It's just...I've read three other books by this author and I loved them. The pace was slow as the relationships built, but they were well written and engaging, even if they were maybe a tad long winded. This was...choppy. I don't know how else to describe it. Even as I was reading it, I couldn't remember what had happened in the previous paragraph, as if it had no relation to what was happening, when it actually did. It was sort of a chore to finish, but I did push through and it was kind of worth it? I don't know, I just didn't connect with the writing style AT ALL for this book.

Week 6
Book:. Under Locke
Date: 11/05/2021
Rating: 3.5
This is the third Mariana Zapata book that I've read and even though I didn't like it as much as the other two, it was still a good book.
As usual this was a very slow burn romance. I always appreciate how the author doesn't rush things and we got to know the characters and get attached to them even before the romance really starts.
I'd say that Dex did annoy me at some point, way too jealous sometimes but i still ended up liking him in the end. Him and Iris were so different and still it ended up working out well.
Overall this was a good slow burn romance, just not my favorite.

Review:Bed of Roses is the second installment of the Bride Quartet. Parker, Emma, Laurel, and Mac's friendship is so strong, and beautiful full of sass, attitudes, constantly brings smiles to my face.
Yes, I can be mad and frustrated with Jack's actions and how he treated Emma once they were at his house, but at the same time, I could understand why he is acting the way he did. We all have baggage behind us.
Emma's family is so loving and accepting. I would love to celebrate Cinco de Mayo at their household and taste the wonderful and tasteful foods.
The storylines are easy to follow, the characters well-written and gathering depth with each book, and while "Bed of Roses" is traditional romance, it is also romance with enthusiasm. As stated earlier, the larger story arcs that began in "Vision" are continuing here, hopefully leading to a culmination in the fourth book. I look forward to completing this series.
Well, in Bed of Roses, we can see glimpses of our two other couples. I am looking forward to the other two books of the series.

I absolutely loved this book. Lots of different Supes that you don't usually see in stories. bAsed around the new Sheriff, Romeo and his mate Vincent, they have to sort out the town's werewolf problem. Whilst this gets sorted there is an arc of a story which will certainly go through to the next book, which is queued up and ready to go.

This was a really good book. I enjoyed the storyline. It wasn't a candy and flowers romance but one that had a great deal of mental baggage. I found the story to be sad a good portion of the time. Maybe that was why I enjoyed reading it right now. Sometimes a good sad story is something I find myself needing to read. This one fit the bill for right now.
I loved NEON. The group interactions were fun to read. I loved M and Alana also. Some of what they were feeling I could completely understand. So that made the book relatable to me.
What was a little disappointing to me was the ending. It was too abrupt. When I completed the book, I was left checking to see if this was part of a series. Everything felt unfinished. I still don't know if it was meant to be. There is a website designed by the authors that makes you think there is going to be more, but it hasn't been updated in over a year. What more can you say when you can't find further information?
Overall, I enjoyed this book. I am disappointed in the ending if this was meant to be a standalone. If it wasn't, there needs to be a posting somewhere to let readers know. If something else is released, I will try it though.

This was the completion of Chance and Andy's story and also of Chance's journey to self- acceptance. There were a few bumps in the road, but this was a great story. I am always a sucker for FRIENDS-TO-LOVERS and sports stories. Add in a little OFY and BONUS!

I didn't connected with the book at start, I don't know why, but somehow by the end of it I did start to like it. It was a first book in this genre for my, and having pauses in reading I think has a influence to it. Is a series that I wanted to read for a while, I'll give the series a chance to read the rest of the books.

Please catch up on your reading so that your team has a real chance of competing in the final week.
No player can pull out of the challenge next week (week 10) in preparation for the final tilt. Players have 24 hours to pull out of the game if life is too busy.

Another shapeshifter romance. Ava it told that the dragon shifters killed her coven and entire family of witches. Damon is a dragon Shifter and Ava is his mate... And this is the story. She detest him at start, want answers, vengeance but... Some events happen and she fell in love. And we have a happy ending (I was worried that it might have a cliffhanger ending)

I really enjoyed reading this book. The story was dark but entertaining.
The world building was very interesting, i sometimes thought it lacked some details especially in explaining some stuff related to the magic but it was still good.
Emillia was a good main character but I'd say that i would've wanted to see more of Vittoria.
I liked the idea of the demon princes and loved Wrath.
The ending was a little bit confusing, but I'm very curious to see what's going to happen in the second book.

I really love this series. The men are strong and caring. The women are unconventional and brave. The only problem I have with it is that every book has a somewhat similar plot. I keep reading more books but find a lot of similarities. I will keep reading because I want to see who the rest of the brothers end up with, and I love the humor. I just wish the differences were a bit more varied.

Emerett Has Never Been in Love

Review:
Lake (Emerett) is at loose ends now that his best friend is happily married and off on his honeymoon. He moves in with Lake's father, Knight, and attempts to sharpen his matchmaking abilities. Unfortunately, the people he thinks should be made for each other have other plans, and Knight is always around to point out where Lake is going wrong.
I keep trying with this author. The problem is that there are some of her books that I like, so I never know whether it will be a hit or a miss for me. This was mostly a miss. Lake was SO clueless, and I didn't think there were people that bad out there. I mean, I'm pretty clueless because of my formative years, but I can still read social clues better than Lake. In fact (side rant), in my opinion, people who are socially outcast or awkward are actually better at reading body language or the room because it's a survival skill for them. (This person is coming to pick on me: DETOUR! DETOUR!) Anyway, I liked Knight, but since everything was from Lake's POV, we didn't really get to know him, especially since Lake was all about the missed obviousness and mis-matchmaking.

Spencer is an author, and is booked to do a con with his favourite author. Marcus has lost his writing mojo, and worries that he'll never get it back. When they meet up, Spencer inspires Marcus, but Marcus might not be able to see how good everything is.
This looked very cute when I was looking at the precis: authors, books, cons, magic...what could go wrong? Well, the editing for starters. It was crappy. Missing words, repeated passages, commas where a period or a semi colon should have been. There were sentences that ran on for what felt like days. By about 60%, I would have dnf'd, if it weren't for the fact that none of the my other choices with the required cover picture weren't appealing to me. Marcus' issues just seemed to be brushed aside, they were instantly in love, and the hurts were magnified beyond all reason.
