Trying to remember the name of a book (or books) in a series I read in the mid nineties, a fantasy romance series with basis in Celtic/Welsh mythology. First book is about Cerridwen and Dane. It starts off with the twins Cerridwen and Michael as children the night their keep is burned and their mother, Rhiannon, is murdered. Michael is taken to live with monks, and Cerridwen to nunnery. When Cerridwen is an adult, she is attacked on her way to become a bride to Caradoc, known as the Boat of Balor. Dane is called upon to heal her. Dane, a sorcerer, knows the light elves, who want Cerridwen to return to her mother's role as a keeper of the gates of time, so they can be reopened and allow the dragons to return to renew the land. In the second book, about Michael and Llynya, there is a war between the dark and light elves, and Michael and Llynya are called upon to call the dragons to defeat the similar and darkkhum, a void that consumes and propagates. There is an underground battle between the elves as well, and quite a bit about wyrms, wyrm holes, and time travel, which is addressed more in the third book.
I LOVED this series - any assistance in finding their title is greatly appreciated!!
