Mike it is hard for me to pass up a good deal and we always read books I do not have so shopping takes place with more than just the read!

Not my list Tim but, I always think they are fun to compare to!
Message 37 is a bit different.

1000 will not fit in the space of a comment.
Have to think on it.

Here are 3 lists from Goodreads of 1000+ reading lists. They are not all classics however.
Yes that is a problem Blueberry.
Many list that are that large are not in our 50 years or older.
My Son and Grandson love Harry Potter but when they show up on a list I know it is mixed with modern reads.

I have read 23 if you count The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings separately. Obviously I have some catching up to do!
Wow! Only completed ten books on this list, although I’ve read lots of other stories by many of the authors listed. Until this morning I had considered myself to be fairly well read! Kudos for having How To Win Friends and Influence People included, as I view this is essential reading for every human being. I am also happy to see Last of the Mohicans on the list. My one question is, “no Solzhenitzyn?” Surely he could replace Stephen Covey! Well, looks like I’d better get cracking!!!
I’ve read ~25 from the men’s list. I remember that A Separate Peace, which we read in high school English, stuck with me for a long time! I keep thinking I should re-read it. The Outsiders was a personal favorite of mine in the early 1970s. S.E. Hinton had some great books for teens! I believe it was the beginning of the YA genre. Lonesome Dove is another book I loved. There are a few scenes, like the one crossing the river, that I will never forget! Watching the mini-series helped cement that scene in my memory. There are a few books on the list that I plan to read/finish this year.
