My friend read this book in 2013, she said a girl wakes up and her parents are missing and when she tries to find them she is also being chased by some people. She said she thinks the twist at the end was that her parents were working with some type of science lab.
-She said the cover is black and red and that the book was set in modern times. That's all she remembers.
