They acted as I suspected. No one on the team wants a murderer running around any longer than necessary. An in depth investigation can't be a 9 to 5 project. Every night that they went home, they had to worry that they would come back the next day to another dead body. I loved and laughed at Bryant trying to fit into life at home. He seems to struggle the most with this new policy.
The policy was ridiculous. As Sharon mentioned, a murder investigation can't be done from 9 to 5. They would just be getting into gear and would have to call it a day.I loved Bryant's struggle too.
I thought they were all hilarious, trying to fit into a normal schedule and not knowing what to do with themselves or how to turn off their brains.
All this just reinforced in my mind how good they are at what they do and how much it’s a part of their identities. They are all in the right jobs.

It was an interesting part of the book. You definitely have to be a certain sort of person in this line of work. I smiled at Bryant and his wife because this is a bit like my husband and I. He also is a workaholic. But after nearly 40 years I'm used to it.
I also laughed at their reactions. They are certainly dedicated to their jobs. Bryant's relationship with his wife was the funniest and I love how Kim told Woody that they were well on their way to divorce if he didn't stop spending so much time at home, lol!
