SOLVED. Some sort of love between a body guard and a princess. [s]

Its a novel (not sure if its a series or not) where the body guard is extremely muscular and has dark black hair. The body guard and princess used to meet in a secret place where the princess got upset because she thought he was taking her to his hookup spot. Someone later tries to kill the princess but fails, and the body guard eventually kills the (assasin). I think eventually the princesses wakes up somewhere with no memory; and the bodyguard has no memory either. She fends for herself with this younger guy she meets where they eventually rescued a couple young girl from being sent away from they're parents as slaves. (this is pretty much all i remember but i have a slight memory on this one section of the book where the princess tries to steal some food and ends up getting tied to a pole; where he later saves her. Please let me know if you have any ideas about this book. :)

I think in the future they both lose they're memories and get stranded on some sort of island, the girl steals from a market and gets tied up when the body guard comes to save her again.

Hello, this kind of reminds me of The Princess Predicament by Lisa Childs but I am unsure about the memory loss story line. Do you think it is similar to this?
