I need a break. I have extended Project Hail Mary another month and changed the September nomination threads into October nomination threads.

I’ve long held the opinion that there are too many book choices, which lends a feeling of pressure, in the sense of “the candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long”, and you’ve been mostly doing this on your own for years.

Plus, most of us belong to more than one book club, so that doesn’t help.

Take a rest, have a little lie-down.

I don’t want to skip October BOTM. I’m going to skip sending out the email because that’s the part that takes concentration. Tallying seconds and posting the discussion thread is easy.
