What do you consider the most important elements of a cozy mystery?

To me a cozy mystery has a small town feel. Everybody knows everybody and all the character's lives are interrelated. The crime shouldn't be very gruesome, or at least not described gruesomely. There should be lots of dialogue, after all, in small towns, people talk and gossip a lot.
