SOLVED. YA (I think) fantasy-- Aerin Galacynthius [s]

I think two books have been written in this series-- this young woman was working in the mines and was taken out by a prince who knew her identity as an assassin (cant remember the name she went by...). She was brought to court to do something and the bargain was her freedom if she accomplished something. She didnt know she was really the daughter of a king/queen by the last name of Galacythinus (probably spelled this wrong) and the two books cover her travels and increasing power etc. By the second book she finally accepts she's Aerin and trains with someone rude to increase her magic or something. Read this in 2014 as an ebook but i have tooooo many on my kindle and can't figure out what the title was or who the author was!!
