Welcome to the Queen of Shadows Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on November and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

I haven't made any progress these past few days since I'm trying to finish up one of my current reads before returning it to the library. Once I finish that, I'll go back to making progress!

I still haven't started the book 😅 and I'm not making promises that I will, because my laptop died :))) and temporarily I have nothing that was on it. I'm gonna try and get the book, but again no promises.

If nothing else I'm glad Cat hopped in so that May still does the BR with someone.

Hopefully it can be fixed, or at least that I can get all my stuff back, but either way I'm looking for a new one.

How are things with your laptop, Mina? It just occurred to me that the last time my laptop died they were able to retrieve my hard drive with all its contents!
So, fingers crossed, they will be able to do it with yours, too :))

And, don't worry about it at all, whenever you manage to get back your book, we'll be here to discuss :D

I'm a bit sick right now, I have a stuffy nose and it sucks.

Things are good, I bought one and it's finally set up (actually typing on it now). Yeah, we took the old hard drive out and now we only need to transfer stuff, which is going to be fun cuz that one is bigger this one.. a lot of stuff is going to be deleted 😅

It's been tiring lately 😅 Moving to a new city plus getting used to going back to classes took a while

But I do hope to get back into reading! I've recently started reading something quick and easy to get into reading. Hoping to start making progress on Queen of Shadows.

I started Crave again, and it's a BR so I'm hoping that'll make me read, and since it's easy I hope to really want to read Queen of Shadows after that. I'm so sad reading became something I feel indifferent about this year.

I read the first 5 chapters, and continued a bit more; I finished chapter 7.

So far I don't have anything to comment on. Maybe Aelin is annoying me a bit, but we shall see.. Also who's Lithaen? I don't remember the name.

Ahaha, in all honesty, it's a chunky book, and we should probably read it without any interruptions (i.e. life or other books) if we want to make any progress xD

It is a big book, but also it's one of those that you can read fast because it's easy. And yeah, I agree on just sitting and reading reading reading without interruptions..not that it'll happen. I have one other active BR parallel to this one, and I would also like to star some new books too 🙈

I remember I enjoyed Manon's chapters in the last book, however here.. she doesn't look that strong to me.

Once you get into the reading you'll catch up.. I mean I just wanted to read a bit to be closer to the plan because I haven't read in a day or two.. and then ch 28 happened and my interest rose.. and I ended up reading up to November 23rd.
