Heather Taylor | 4 comments EDIT: This book is The Haunted Planet, by D.J. Arneso and Tony Tallarico

I remember this being a thin paperback with a dark green cover and hand-drawn illustrations. I read it as a kid in the mid/late 80's, and I think it may have belonged to my mom before that, so probably published sometime after '62.

I remember, vaguely, three different stories. (Lots of spoilers here.....)

One was about a group of kids who broke into the back door of the local haunted house and found a green (I think?) man/monster inside, who scared bejeezus out of them and chased them, and although they managed to get out, it ended with the fact that the back door was now open.....

One was about a scientist who built a robot slave on which he heaped abuse nonstop. I think there may have been a tiny man or alien powering it? It looked a bit like C-3PO and put up with the abuse until one day in a junkyard it locked the guy in an old trailer and crashed a tower of crushed cars on top of it, leaving him to die.

One was about a boy and a seagull at the beach, and I think the kid's mom had just died? And something about a spot of blood on the bird's breast.

I want to find this book for a friend's 8-year old nephew, who's expressed an interest in exploring the horror genre. I thought I still had my copy, but a search of my stored books did not turn it up. I'm hoping the community can help me track it down! Thanks in advance for any info.
