The duckling tries to swim in a pot "too hot" and a fish bowl "too crowded" and at one point dogs bark at him, "too much". At the end he finds his pond. I remember reading this story as a kid in the 90s, it's probably geared towards toddlers or preschool age children. I really want to find it for my kids. I'm 90%sure the title was too much, but that's so vague I haven't been able to find it on Google or Amazon.
