Were you aware of the extent of World War I? Did you know about the fighting in the Middle East during the Great War? Do you agree with Christopher Catherwood that the siege of Kut was "the worst defeat of the Allies during World War I"?

I was not really aware of the extent that WWI covered. I feel like it was kind of breezed over in high school history. Even reading the book, I wasn't familiar with many of the places they were name and admit that I kind of just went with it. The amount of miles they covered walking to the camp was startling.
