I have a multi-volume set of Saki stories. I’ll try to read the stories from the specified anthology.
I am in for Saki. I have seen Open Window on TV, the actor portrayed the nervous and haunted visitor really well.
I ordered this Saki: Short Stories. Have no idea what stories are in it but it is a slipcover Folio Society edition.
Having seen a TV version of Open Window, I was surprised how short the story is. But I suppose it only covers about an hour of real time. Anyhow, it is a little gem.
I've read a complete short stories of Saki way back when. Munro had a wicked sense of humor and was most enjoyable.I recall a television version of some of his stories back in the 60s or 70s on our local public channel before it became public tv. Very interesting.
The Wolves of Cernogratz has a completely different mood from The Open Window. Then there's The Music On The Hill, which I remember from high school.

According to Britannica, " 'The Open Window', frequently anthologized short story by Saki, first published in the collection Beasts and Super-Beasts in 1914. Vera, a charming teenager, plays a practical joke on a nervous visitor, causing him to flee the house. The story’s surprise ending, its witty, concise narrative, and its slightly sinister tone are all trademarks of Saki’s fiction." https://www.britannica.com/topic/The-...
