Tasha Such a great idea!

For some reason I'd just never thought of it before! I'm doing it with my physical books too, the Instagram challenge I did in Jan is what "gave" me the idea. lol

It's a great idea! It works really well for me. Just recently was the first time I had to find an audio to review an expired audio though. That was a new one! lol

message 254: by Vicki Willis (new)

Vicki Willis | 871 comments Where do you find the audio? Like on the Netgalley site? They have audio titles that match the books you have?
Or you do it past pub and get it from the library?

message 255: by Thereadingbell (new)

Thereadingbell | 239 comments I request audio books of books I already get approved I always check to see if there is audio on netgalley. this way i get to write one review for two one for book version one for audio version.

message 256: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 2898 comments Mod
Sometimes I get the audio from NetGalley, but once a book is past publication I will look in my library. Usually, if the pub date is getting close and I don't think I'm going to make it, I will request that they purchase the audio. That way there's a better chance of them having it and I'm automatically on the hold list for it. If they don't have it, sometimes Kindle unlimited will include audios too or I can find a good whispersync deal or Audible sale.

Yep, both. I usually can't find or don't get approved for the audio version of an e-book I have but using Libby and Hoopla is super helpful. Because most of my titles are paste due ARCs. *face palm*

Vicki Willis | 871 comments Wow! That is amazing Elyse!

I only read and reviewed 1 book as well, but it was The Ferryman so I was happy to get it done before publishing date.

message 262: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 2898 comments Mod
I kept hoping they would add the audio of the Ferryman. I think I would have gotten it done that way, but no luck! I also requested my library order it, but so far, no luck with that either. I will get it done eventually!

Yeah, it just didn't jive with me. She was such an unlikable character, I was so annoyed with her for most of the book. lol

I read three books in May: The Covenant of Water, A History of Burning, and The French Art of Living Well: Finding Joie de Vivre in the Everyday World.

I’ve been staying away from browsing, therefore not adding books 🤣, for the past month as I want to get through the books I have. It’s been difficult!

Elyse - So glad to see that you loved Off the Map. I have it as a potential challenge read for later this year. I also have The Suite Spot on my TBR, but haven't read it, or book 1, yet. Do you recommend reading them in order or does it not matter? I noticed you said all the characters were together in book 3, so I thought maybe I should wait to read it until I've read the others.

They're companion novels but yes, the characters and their own plotlines are all mentioned in the other books so it is best to read them in order to get the full picture. And they're so good! And not very long. I think they're all under 300 pages each. The audios are also great!
