Trisha | 1574 comments I'd put a lot of my reads on hold and just pushed my Netgalley shelf for the last few months. Well, June was my last month to do that. Now I'm back to trying to read the physical books I've recently bought and read a bunch of my BOTM and Aardvark books. *sigh* I sitll have a backlog that's waaaaay too long in my Netgalley books but I'm working on it lol

Well done, Trisha! That's a lot of reviews and you're over the 80% mark! You have quite a few 4 star reviews. Do you have a favorite?

Trisha | 1574 comments Thank you! Yes, it's been a work in progress but I'm getting there!!

My favorites are probably Party of Liars by Kelsey Cox & The Ghostwriter by Julie Clark
both of them surprised me and I loved every minute of the story!

Oh, I had a widget for Party of Liars, but I didn't take it because I didn't think I'd have time to read it on time. I'll have to check it out. Ghostwriter seems right up my alley. I love books set in the 70s and that one sounds really good. I've added to my TBR. :)

Jessie (Saffity) (saffity) | 62 comments A much better month this time, though I may have grabbed a few more books. I did read one of the best books of my year though with:

In the Veins of the Drowning (The Siren Mage, #1) by Kalie Cassidy

Books on shelf: 35
Backlog: 10
Ratio at Beginning of Month: 70%
Ratio at End of Month: 67%

Kids Books:
46. Dinos That Drive ⭐⭐⭐⭐
47. The Maker of the Mountain: A Story About What God Is Like ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
48. The Dandelion Horn ⭐⭐⭐⭐
49. Isabel's Birthday Surprise ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Grown Up Books:
50. 50 Projects for Building Your Backyard Homestead, Updated Edition: A Hands-On, Step-By-Step Sustainable-Living Guide (Creative Homeowner) Self-Sufficiency Gardening, Chicken Coops, Sheds, and More ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
51. Threads of Empire: A History of the World in Twelve Carpets ⭐⭐⭐⭐
52. Thrifted Hearts: A Short Story ⭐⭐⭐⭐
53. Inheriting the Cottage by the Loch: A totally gripping and heart-warming Scottish romance ⭐⭐⭐
54. In the Veins of the Drowning ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

So I made a decent show of this month. I'm reading one TBR book for the Goodreads summer challenge and then back to NG.

I really need to convince the kiddos to finish reading through the kids books I have, I've stopped requesting kids books right now. They're starting to read on their own more and don't want to go through with Mommy on the phone. Sometimes I have to catch them during bath time just so they stay in one place. XD.

Goals for the summer is to get my blog more active again. I figure if I start with my blog I can branch out to my Bookstagram and Booksky, I just got too busy over spring.

Jessie (Saffity) (saffity) | 62 comments August:

Books on shelf: 35
Backlog: 20
Ratio at Beginning of Month: 67%
Ratio at End of Month: 69%

Kids Books:

55. The Newest Gnome ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
56. Camilla and the Fall Festival ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Grown Up Books:

57. To Heist and to Hold ⭐⭐⭐
58. The Late-Night Witches ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Got a few more off the list, and clearly picked up a few more as my shelf has not dropped in number. My goal for the rest of the year is to get my backlog cleared up, and until it is, only read books that complete GR challenges if they aren't on NG.
