Reed was sidelined when his relationship with Bobbi Marx was revealed. Should he have been reinstated after the second murder, that of Roberta Peters who he had no connection to?

Probably not. I don't have any experience in police procedure but when it was disclosed by DNA that he was the father of Bobbi's unborn child that would have ruled him out for the duration I'm thinking.

Definitely not. He has a personal connection to one of the victims. It was 100% right to take him off the case and the fact that he kept butting in anyway was problematic. I got off lightly with the minor scoldings for the DA.

The problem with that decision was with who was left. They needed his expertise, which is why people kept looking the other way. Sylvie just doesn’t have good instincts and Cliff’s ego kept getting in the way.

This department has serious issues.

In a larger police force, he should not be allowed back on the case, but here they needed Reed. I think the let Reed's past blind them to what they needed.
