Hayes Patterson | 2 comments Published 90s or before. Possibly a board book. Spoilers ahead.

The book starts by introducing a kingdom that is grey and completely devoid of color - the book is black and white at this point.

Then a wizard is introduced who is going to save the kingdom by giving it color.

The book introduces the primary colors followed by the rest of the rainbow. Each color is introduced on a new page and this color is added into the world (which is otherwise still black and white)

The book concludes with the kingdom rejoicing because their world is filled with color.

The book's title includes the name of the wizard I believe, and this book may be part of a series.

Thanks in advance for your guidance. I read this book as a kid and want to read it to my children now, but can't remember what it's called!

Bethany Tomerlin Prince (bethanytomerlinprince) | 2 comments It's not an exact match but you might want to take a look at the book The giver as the tale is a young adult dystopian ( written before those terms were widely used). The world is black and white and the protagonist gradually begins to see in color.
