SOLVED. Kid’s Fantasy/ Sci-Fi book about a house with doors to secret worlds.

I started reading it in 2020 as an ebook.. All I remember is there was a little boy who either was visiting his distant family or moved in with distant relatives and it kind of has a mysterious air to it. There are secret rooms and each one takes you to a different world/dimension. He wakes up in the middle of the night and a door with like a little man has appeared above his bed through the wall. I didn’t get very far so that’s all the details I have. I keep thinking it’s some thing about the house of 1000 worlds or 1000 doors or something like that but I can’t find anything that resembles what I’m looking for.
