SOLVED. YA horror, had a cover with a hand poking through a membrane that looked like bubblegum, late 90s

Pretty sure it was part of a series. Goosebumps maybe? I loved this book but can only remember the cover. Can't even remember the series name.

I think it was a group of teens and a house or cave or something trapped them

I figured this one out on my own by scrolling through way too many pages of google image searches, haha. It's Trapped by R.L. Stine.

I'd love to re-read it but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be in print anymore.

Not sure this will help, but you might look for R.L. Stine collections such as Creatures of the Night which includes Haunted, Bad Moonlight and Trapped.

Thanks Kris for the suggestion! I checked and unfortunately not available in my local library network! I'm pretty sure I owned this as a paperback, maybe I can see if my parents kept my old books :) Or maybe will get lucky one day at a used book store!
