Maggie Smith (goodreadscommaggiesmithwriter) | 11 comments How do you use formatting in your book description? I notice others have bold or italics for headlines or headers, but I can't see any place to pick such formatting. I tried to do the formatting that I wanted in Word and then copy/paste but it didn't carry over the formatting; everything is just in plain type.

Hi Maggie

In future could you ask question like this in the Help area? They have a section for authors. https://help.goodreads.com/s/ Librarians are volunteers who do the book cataloging, correct quotes & stuff like that.

Goodreads uses html. In the comment box, you will see (some html is ok) just above it. Click on that & you will see how it is done.
