This book was a BBC Radio 4 Book at Bedtime broadcast a couple of years ago (2018ish). At the time I only caught a couple of episodes but I was intrigued. Determined to listen to the whole series in one hit, I was going to catch up listen on the Saturday via the web but life got in the way.

I think the story was set in Wales - I certainly got that feeling from the descriptors used, but could be wrong. The villagers are very suspicious of the new priest and kept him at arms length. Technology has been banned in this storyverse but I didn't get far enough into the story to find out why.

Was he Roman Catholic or Anglican?
