SOLVED. Middle grade series about a large family, read early 2010s but i think it came out way before that. one of the older brothers broke into jail to be with his dad, i believe this was in the 4th book. [s]

i think they had a dog and i'm pretty sure the spines were pink. i think there were 5 books and mayyybe the family's name started with b?

I think I might actually know this one! This sounds like The Not-Just-Anybody Family . If memory serves me correctly, the jail break-in was actually book one, but there are indeed five books in the series. The family is named the Blossoms. I loved this book when I was eight or nine. :)
