A big fan of Historic fiction. Recent favourite: A Long Petal of the Sea by Isabel Allende, another one: The Poisonwood Bible, Barbara Kingsolver.
I am in the process of finishing my first full length work. A HisFic novel based in South Asia.

my favorite historical fiction books are Wicked Will: A Mystery of Young William Shakespeare and The Secret of the Sealed Room: A Mystery of Young Ben Franklin. But I also read a lot of Fantasy and Gothic novels. I also enjoy books that were written in the past, like classics (in particular epic poems and gothic novels), I enjoy:
The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Journey to the West, Volume 1, and others.
My favorite authors are Mary Shelley, Oscar Wilde, and Shakespeare, and I am a Shakespearian actor.

My favorite genres are romance (especially if it includes lgbtq+ couple) and fantasy but I would love to get more into historical fiction!

I’m studying history at present and have the most remarkable opportunity of living with a retired history teacher: an awfully kind lady: my good friend’s mother. This week I sat my first-year exams and according to my mentor, I smashed it, "Yippe-Dippee-Doo-Daa."
I struggled at school and family, when I lived at home, laughed at me for trying to improve myself through books. Until I joined Goodreads, I would read high-street novels, but now - outside of my studies - I’m reading European political intrigue: to me these works are more thrilling than the novels I once read.
I did, before leaving Manchester, talk to a man, in his late years, on the bus to work: he told me, a good book will always teach you something.
I don't do social media, I did, but suffered too much abuse. I get upset easily. I am tiny and I was very timid.
I now live in the south-east corner of Britain. I work in a garden centre and love it.
I will try and read all the posts; I can't promise I'll add to them.
Please be kind to me.

I'm Jennifer, from the Houston, Texas, area, and avid reader of mostly historical fiction although sometimes I need to mix it up with a modern day thriller, non-fiction, or business pick. I am currently reading Ken Follet's The Evening and the Morning because years ago I remember enjoying Pillars of the Earth. More recents are Mark Sullivan's The Last Green Valley and Beneath A Scarlet Sky, Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale, C.W. Gortner's The Romanov Empress, and John Jakes' The Kent Family Chronicles, Wilkie Collins' The Woman in White, and Heather Morris' The Tattooist of Auschwitz and Cilka's Journey.
Love learning about life before our time - the customs, language, lifestyles, and lessons. I look forward to reading with a group.

My name is Pippa and I'm a history geek. I love a page-turning immersive read, preferably set anywhere from Tudor times to the Victorians.
I do write, but so far unpublished, although I do have a blog which you are most welcome to visit.

I look forward to book chatter and discovering great new reads.
Pippa.

I'm Tiziana almost 52 years old, but forever a teenager in my heart.
I'm from Italy, so please forgive any errors in my text.
I love historical fiction, especially mystery ( cozies most of all ) and mystery-romance. I like also humorous romances and classics ( included books for children ).
From time to time I read also biographies and non-fictions.
Feel free to ask my friendship, I'll be glad to accept with one exception:
if you are a horrors reader... I have to decline friendship request,
_ I hate horrors _ I can't even stand those kind of covers, so I don't want to see any review about that genre in the home-page.
Thanks for accepting me in the group :-)

Dodgers, Trojans, Lakers, Rams. I love all sports and my hometown.
All things Christmas. I’m fully set up on Black Friday, and only because the hubbs who won’t allow Thanksgiving to be disrespected by setting up sooner.
I ❤️LUCY. Golden girls. I don’t have much time for tv but these two shows are always on in the background. I’ve seen them so much I don’t need to actually watch anymore, I’m reciting as I cook, and laughing as if I’ve never heard the punchline before.
I’m a professional car singer. Music is therapy and if you see the concert going on in my car at a stoplight you might assume I’m having a better day than I am. Try it, it works!
I’m an empath and hopeless romantic so I enjoy books that transport me and make me feel deeply but I’m not really into the Romance genre right now. Of course, I said that about Fantasy and then randomly stumbled upon ACOTAR having never heard of it and my world was rocked so maybe it’s about finding the right one.
I am a mood reader, and right now looking to start my Historical Fiction journey and expand my collection of memoirs, I'd also love recs for short reads, they usually help me reset after reading a long series.

I am Parsa! I thoroughly enjoy reading historical fiction novels or anything with a touch of history. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin and Plantagenet series by Sharon Kay Penman are my favourites.
I'm rather new to this genre for I have started reading historical fictions some months ago beginning with Ken Follet's The Pillars of the Earth. While quite intriguing, it couldn't completely satisfy my longing for reading about that specific treacherous events by which history is shaped; so I sought out other books and found When Christ and His saints slept. Then I realized that I am captivated by this genre.
I hope that in the future I shall expand my bookshelf by reading more and more books concerning this genre.
Thank you, Parsa
