Hiya everyone, nice to meet so many people. Im Alisha (spelt alicia) I’m 17 year old English young lady. I’m hoping to soon go to university for fashion design and entrepreneurship (I’ve always been very creative. I guess I’m in the chapter of life that is “figuring out what I’ll do for the rest of my life” although I’m not sure I believe in that. I am very hardworking and determined individual and believe that everyone should be :) I’m new here and so far this app is great :) i would love to be part of a buddy reading book club 🥰✨I have just got very into reading, I used to read when I was about 9 to escape reality as I had no friends, but when I had a toxic friend group age 13-15 reading was considered very uncool and so I stoped. I didn’t get into it as I went through a tough time, I also have ADHD so as you can imagine reading can be difficult because I find it hard to focus and remember and so loose where I am on the page or it just doesn’t sink in. I am definitely a known procrastinator. However i have just turned my life around and changed a lot, I’m deciding to put down the phone and read a lot more, it’s so fun holding a physical book and I feel like I’m in a book myself :) I realised that if I’m interested I am able to hyper focus and read for hours! And I have just made it a routine that I sit down for 30 mins (set a timer) every night before bed and just read. I have just impulsively order 6 new books and would love to be part of this group so have motivation to read them lol. I love historical fiction anything to with regency Victorian Edwardian Jane Austen romance classics etc I also like spiritual and self help books, I would love some book inspiration, I tend to like books that tell you a lot about the characters but without being too slow. I am currently reading Emma. It would be great to speak to some of you. <3

Just wanted to say hello. I'm a lover of historical fiction, and the author of a six-book series set in the 1890s, called the Puzzle Box Chronicles. My main reason for joining this group is to learn more about what you're reading, and what folks look for when it comes to historical novels. I've found that some readers often stick to a specific era for the books they read (Civil war, Middle Ages, pre-history, etc.) I'd be interested in hearing more about people's favorite eras.
Hello! I'm Lily and fantasy is my favorite genre but I also enjoy historical fiction and clean romance.
