Ending Explained *Spoiler Alert*

Hi all! I just finished the audiobook of “Hostage,” and I am hoping someone could help me understand the ending.
*******Spoiler alert**********
Who was Sophia trying to poison? The way it sounded all of the cookies had poison, but then it seemed like only certain ones had it. Was it just confusing for audiobook listeners or also for those reading it? Was it meant to be confusing???
Thanks!

I read the book (didn't listen to audiobook) and it did seem that she had poisoned them all but no, it was just the ones she gave to Rowan.
I agree with Sima. I think it was intentional to be slightly confusing and make us think she was potentially poisoning her parents.... until the last paragraph where Mina confirms Sophia did give the only poisonous biscuit to Rowan (thank gosh!)
Thanks, ladies. I tend to agree, but I do hate it when the ending is vague.
Is it me, or did it seem Mina knew Sophia poisoned Rowan...because she said he was given his favorite cookies/flowers (foxglove)?? So confusing!
