Brandy S | 12 comments I believe this is a newer book because I ran across it on Good Reads by going to the Paranormal genre and then the Ghosts chapter. It seems like there was a detective who could see or communicate with ghosts and he was using them to solve murders. Perhaps he was able to relive the crime through the ghosts of murder victims. Appreciate any recommendations.

It sounds a little like Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz - although he wasn’t a detective.

Moloch | 342 comments Sounds like the books from the "Commissario Ricciardi" series by Italian author Maurizio de Giovanni. The books are set in Naples in the 1930s. Sorry, I am unable to link right now.

Sam Hall | 26 comments I can add writer Max McCoy, he has written series about a blind medium Ophelia who solves crimes in the Wild West (Ophelia Wylde Occult Mystery).
