Here's an odd detail in a crime story. I'm still reading about Gary Krist's exploits in The Best American Crime Reporting 2007 and saw his attorney's name, James Venable. It reminded me of Jon Venables, the name of the 10-year-old who masterminded the murder of Jamie Bulger, so I decided to look the attorney up. Turns out James Venable was quite a prominent white-supremacist creepazoid who got in on all kinds of high-profile court cases, including the murder of the guy who founded the Coca-Cola Company of America:https://thesouthernvoice.com/when-the...
