Clarisse V | 11 comments Chip chrome and the monotones is an album by the neighbourhood and it was released on September 25, 2020. The neighborhood is a band and they first started in 2011. Their debut album was in 2013 and it was called “I Love You” and they have made 5 albums. Their most popular singles are “sweater weather” and “daddy issues.” Their music genre is mostly alt/indie. Their most recent album was chip chrome and the monotones. It’s different from the 4 other albums because it has a different theme than the others.

Chip chrome and the monotones is the band's new persona. Chip chrome is Jesse Rutherford who is the lead singer. I think the album is an amazing album. The best song on the album for me is “devil's advocate.” I love the beat of the song and near the end of the song there is a guitar solo which I also love. The song is a mix of their old sound and their new sound together. The song was released just a few days before the whole album. “Middle of somewhere” is another great song. It is more of a soft song which is different from the rest of the songs on the album. It is the last song on the album. I think it compliments the album really well because it gives a nice soft ending to the album. Jesse Rutherford has an amazing voice and the other members (zach abels, jeremy freedman, bryan sammis, brandon fried, and mikey margott) are all amazing
musicians and they all tie the band together very well. I give this album a 5/5.
