Welcome to the On a Sunbeam Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on July 12th and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Each day we will be reading by chapters or page numbers. Page numbers are an approximation based on the hardcover or paperback that is the default on Goodreads. The suggested Buddy Read discussion schedule is as follows:

I've read the first 6 chapters~

I have to say that I love the universe and the illustrations and colors are so beautiful. I love how they switch colors between the past and the present :)

As for the story there are a lot of mysteries right now and I want to know what happens! I want to know about Alma's and Char's story on the "boarding school" and that not-so-legal work they did there. Also why Mia was really expelled. And what happens with her friend Grace after Mia goes to work with Alma's crew.

I did cry with Jules, Mia and Ell's hug on chapter 4 :') It was a bit of a stressful situation. I hope they will be okay, though it has consequences. Now we will see what Ell's work is...

And chapter 6 was short and cute~ Though I somehow knew those two would be together :P

Any thought until now? ^^

Chapter 12 read~

I do love how things are coming together little by little. How all thos individual stories links to each other~
For example, that Ell and Grace are both from the Staircase. I'm still wondering what's up on that place, it seems their rules are pretty tight?

The moment where Grace's sisters meet Mia... when at first they fight and then they see she's Grace's girlfriend... hahaha it was an instant enemies to friends.

And after Mia tells her story to the crew and they just understand her. Their words and smiles made me smile too~

Now that I think of it... There are no men on this comic, right? O.o It's curious, but I'm glad it happens too! There are a lot of books with only and exclusively male characters.

Finished it! I hope you can read it soon, because it's worth it! Thanks for saying that it was free online, because I enjoyed it a lot :)

Chpater 15's ending was chaos! When they said they HAD to be together, they all separated. But we could see all of their stories, more or less :)

The moment when Mia and Grace met was so quick and awkard. I thought they would really talk with each other, but it was just Mia rambling haha
The moment when both Jules and Ell were hurt was heartbreaking. I thoght they would maybe die D: And maybe that Char and Alma left Mia behind... with Grace. But nope. It was great <3

I would love to know a bit more of that fox spirit, and why Jule could go to her but not anyone else. Maybe because she wasn't of The Staircase? Maybe the fox hated them, not only for killing another but... idk. It would been nice a bit more of background to that.
