The Maze Runner
question
How do you feel about the end of the Maze Runner?

I was not to bothered by the ending but I know a lot of people are underwhelmed. I thought that it was a perfect ending as it set up for the next book. What do you think?
Just so you know this is the ending of the first book but I have read the others so feel free to talk about the other books.

The end left me devastated, Newt was muy favourite character and he did not deserve that.

I loved newt, he was a great person and #newtmas, but I feel like his death affected thomas and helped thomas grow as a character. So I feel it was necessary.
This was an odd story for me. It almost didn't even feel like a complete story but rather the first third of a complete story. I know there are more to the series and eventually I'll probably move into the second one, but the first really felt lacking.
When I finished the book, it felt like when someone tells you they have a great story, and they start telling it but with lots of extra unnecessary details, so at the end you feel like it could have been boiled down to a couple pages without losing anything significant.

Well, I agree but I also disagree at the same time because I think that book was good for getting your head around the whole plot of the first book.
