Elise | 7 comments I have read many Jacqueline Wilson books in my life so I can’t always remember which was which. Main character was a girl, used old English money (tuppence etc) to go to Woolworths and buy a doll that was around the size of her thumb? Think she used the rest of her money to buy her sibling (maybe brother) something?

Elise, per the Group Rules, please add some plot details to your topic header. Use the little edit link. You can copy and paste from what you've already written.

Robert (ricroscupshigh) | 542 comments Or Hetty Feather?

"It's London, 1876 and Hetty Feather is just a tiny baby when her mother leaves her at the Foundling Hospital. The Hospital cares for abandoned children - but Hetty must first live with a foster family until she is big enough to go to school. Life in the countryside is hard but with her 'brothers' Jem and Gideon, she plays imaginary games."
