James Clark (chuckletopia) | 23 comments Excited about this one. Two pages in and it is already working at setting the tone. I am really happy this one was chosen, because if it hadn't been I doubt I would have given it a try. Can't wait to start turning the pages.

Gabi | 3441 comments If I have the time I will read this one again with the group. One of the most facinating books I've read, for sure. And one of the most demanding as well.

James Clark (chuckletopia) | 23 comments I'm 15% into this one: Am I the only one still trying to piece a whole bunch of stuff together? I think I am starting to understand what is going on. I am just really hoping this is one of those books that is just like...BAM! Now look back and understand, ya dummie!

I was also confused for the first chunk!

Dawn F (psychedk) | 1223 comments Grrrreat. Totally forgot to check if there's an audiobook available for me for this one, and there isn't 🤥 Bought the ebook, let's see if I get around to reading it... 🙄

i listened to the audio! it exists!

M Petro | 24 comments Good to know I wasn’t the only one struggling. I feel like the author explains or gives enough information a few pages later that I’ve just settled in trying to remember and being comfortable with being confused.

Andy (_btp) | 16 comments getting into it,
some questions answered, i think,
still waiting for the rug to be pulled from under me

great fun so far

Ellen | 937 comments Starting to catch on some. I think I like this better than massive info dumps.

John J. (hawkeye424) | 10 comments Starting this one now. An actual honest-to-goodness paper bound book. Looking forward to the read and the discussion after reading some of the intriguing comments. READ ON!

I am 60 pages in and also am slowly putting the pieces together. Right now I’m trying to figure out what they mean by Vampires. But, the mystery of this world is keeping me turning the pages hoping it’ll explain it.

still not sure what I'm reading here
still having fun

message 14: by M (new) - rated it 4 stars

M Petro | 24 comments Page 122 and I feel like it’s humming along now. I have more than enough pieces and I can’t put it down.

Whitney | 28 comments It is one of those books where it takes awhile for it to come together. I recommend anyone getting frustrated enough to want to put the book down should 'cheat' and take a look at the list of characters in the wikipedia entry.

message 16: by M (new) - rated it 4 stars

M Petro | 24 comments Interestingly enough, I never wanted to put it down. I wanted to keep reading to learn more about what’s going on. It worked for me.

Sweet! I loved this book and had the same experience as you.

Aga | 1088 comments I've started about a week ago and I don't think it clicked yet. It was recommended to me by some friends that have pretty similar tastes to mine, so I'm waiting for the magic to happen.

So far I prefer the "mission part" to flashbacks from the past.

Jeanette Revie | 56 comments I just could not get into the vibe of this book.

Aga | 1088 comments I'm 17 % in and I struggle to continue. I'm thinking about a pause and pick it up later.

That's fair. I think I was "in the dark" if you can excuse the pun until about 25%

Hehe, I love the pun :)

message 23: by Ryan (new) - rated it 2 stars

Ryan Dash (ryandash) | 178 comments I didn't really struggle to get through it but it was extremely odd and to some extent difficult to understand throughout. The middle of the book is perhaps the worst in this regard.

Hmm, I think I'll pause then. It's not a good time for me to enjoy "Blindsight". I have too much stress right now, so I'm in the mood to read something that instantly grabs my attention or a comfort read.

Liane | 137 comments So helpful to see the struggles at the beginning of this book. I am perpetually a month (or 2 late!) and now, 17% in, I find myself distracted from reading quite easily. I started on audio, then reread in paper, which helped me a bit, but it is still confusing. I will press on!
