Excited about this one. Two pages in and it is already working at setting the tone. I am really happy this one was chosen, because if it hadn't been I doubt I would have given it a try. Can't wait to start turning the pages.
If I have the time I will read this one again with the group. One of the most facinating books I've read, for sure. And one of the most demanding as well.
I'm 15% into this one: Am I the only one still trying to piece a whole bunch of stuff together? I think I am starting to understand what is going on. I am just really hoping this is one of those books that is just like...BAM! Now look back and understand, ya dummie!
Grrrreat. Totally forgot to check if there's an audiobook available for me for this one, and there isn't 🤥 Bought the ebook, let's see if I get around to reading it... 🙄
Good to know I wasn’t the only one struggling. I feel like the author explains or gives enough information a few pages later that I’ve just settled in trying to remember and being comfortable with being confused.
getting into it, some questions answered, i think,
still waiting for the rug to be pulled from under me
great fun so far
Starting this one now. An actual honest-to-goodness paper bound book. Looking forward to the read and the discussion after reading some of the intriguing comments. READ ON!

But, the mystery of this world is keeping me turning the pages hoping it’ll explain it.
Page 122 and I feel like it’s humming along now. I have more than enough pieces and I can’t put it down.
It is one of those books where it takes awhile for it to come together. I recommend anyone getting frustrated enough to want to put the book down should 'cheat' and take a look at the list of characters in the wikipedia entry.
Interestingly enough, I never wanted to put it down. I wanted to keep reading to learn more about what’s going on. It worked for me.

I've started about a week ago and I don't think it clicked yet. It was recommended to me by some friends that have pretty similar tastes to mine, so I'm waiting for the magic to happen. So far I prefer the "mission part" to flashbacks from the past.
Allison wrote: "That's fair. I think I was "in the dark" if you can excuse the pun until about 25%"Hehe, I love the pun :)
I didn't really struggle to get through it but it was extremely odd and to some extent difficult to understand throughout. The middle of the book is perhaps the worst in this regard.

I have too much stress right now, so I'm in the mood to read something that instantly grabs my attention or a comfort read.
