The one thing I am positive about is this book having to do with boats and a small-ish town. I think the characters saw something they weren't supposed to, either alien or government while on a boat somewhere in the US (northeast maybe?), and eventually the town is either shut down/destroyed/quarantined? I could be wrong.
I read this book probably at least 5-6 years ago, and every now and again it pops into my head and I can't remember the name of it. If you need more details or have some ideas please let me know!!
