It's so sad that they both have awful relationships with both parents. Thankfully that they at least have one person in their corner to offer the love that their parents wouldn't. (hide spoiler)]

I for one did not like this book. I wish I could remember why but did not write a review and I forgot a lot of what happened. I do remember that I really loved how this book started and I got less and less into it. I also remember that I would have found this story a lot more interesting if we were following the main character's mother
