There are three types of interdependencies among collaborative learning participants:

- dependence on a single goal, which is realized by students and which they can achieve only through joint efforts;
- dependence on sources of information, since each member of the group owns only a part of the general information or source of information that is necessary to solve the set common task; everyone should contribute to the solution of the common problem;
- dependence on the form of encouragement in one group, either all participants are encouraged equally, or not encouraged in any way.
