This was my absolute favorite of the Team 5E series. Why? It primarily takes place at the Dakar Rally -- autorace that at the time the book was written was being run in South America from Argentina through Chile to end in Peru. This one revolves around Zoe, one of Team 5E's drone pilots, and Luke, the hunky SKILLED Seal team leader who works closely with spec ops Team 5E. Following a trail of clues, Zoe and Luke are racing in the Dakar Rally as they try to locate and arrest a slippery arms dealer. Of course, ultimately in the final day of the race the arms dealer is identified and seized - very dramatically. However, the spec ops is secondary to the race and the growth of these characters in overcoming their pasts and recognizing their romantic futures. BTW - the driver of the car is Zoe and the day by day race detail is breath-taking, totally fantastic.

This is also the end of the Night Stalker series and subseries. Author has moved on in another romance thriller direction which I will eventually explore. There are still a couple of earlier subseries of the Night Stalkers I need to read.
