Edmund and Elizabeth Alderidge were two siblings born into a family of thieves, taught the arts of their craft by friends of their parents and parents themselves. As they grew older their skills and minds grew in the ways of espionage and after the untimely death of their parents by people trying to stop their crimes, they founded the Academy of Thieves. Edmund believed that nothing was better than a place where children could learn the ways of espionage in safety without the fear of being caught and killed for what they were learning to become. He also believed that the mind was the greatest weapon and was known for his ability to plan out the greatest thefts in history. His older sister Elizabeth believed that they needed to teach other children like themselves how to be powerful and confident with their choices, along with how to be crafty in the ways of theory. Elizabeth wasn’t known for being planned out or organized, since she was far from that track, having been able to best 20 men in a fight at the age of 23 and only coming out with a broken finger. She was strong and courageous, something the students at the academy strive to be. When they founded the Academy they knew protection was a must so they changed the name to the public as Alderidge Academy for the Astute.
