The Clone CodesI read this book in middle school (I am 19 now) and this book has been bothering me for weeks now. The book itself is rare, instead of the normal type font it’s typed like a typewriter, that kind of font. The girl goes to school through an ear piece and she closes her eyes and she’s at school with people. Not a teleport device but kind of like a hologram? It’s hard to describe. Her mom is some super smart person, I can’t remember if she is a doctor or if she is a tech person. But one day the cops come banging looking for her mom and her and the whole house does this lock down thing. They get her mom but she somehow escapes and someone takes care of her taking her to his house and putting her in his secret room I think. But she had to blend in so she had to shave her eyebrows and become completely bald. There are robots in this universe that are ranked of importance by color, there’s pink, purple, blue, orange; and they are also given serial numbers. This girl gets painted to look like a robot. (I can’t remember which color) and she serves as a lower ranking robot. That’s about all I can remember. I also don’t know if it’s a series. I just know I’ve read the one.

I believe she was a teenager and I'm pretty sure the book is targeted for teens.
