Hob | 2 comments I'm trying to recall a children's book my family owned in the mid to late 80s. It was an oversized picture book themed as a Medieval or possibly Roman travelogue, describing fantasy beasts from different regions of the world as if the author was travelling the globe and writing about them. Some of the specific creatures I remember are dragons, chimeras, bees that stored molten gold instead of honey, and vegetable lambs. There were also pages that described varieties of humans the author met, including a striking image of a "witch of the north" looking straight at the reader.
