Yay!! Hello everyone!!!I am good with ANY of the books. so you guys pick and Ill read what's left :)
Hi guys! I'm really excited for this! I have already read The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender and it's really good! My first choice would be Brutal Youth, but I can be flexible if someone else wants it!
If you want to read
Jen you can. Leah and I are both sitting here and looking at these books. We both agreed that we would not be interested in reading that one. I will read
if that's okay. I know that Leah has read it already.
Perfect!! I'm so glad you guys are all getting to pick books that sound good!! :)what does Leah think??
There we go! I had to sign in which normally I don't. I'm taking the last book! YAY!!! Last but not least!!!
Now what? Lol
Good question Jen! I wasn't sure either.I just posed the question to Gisbelle to see when we start/need to be done and what we post here (like read date/review/rating/ etc)
:) I'm so happy we are all good with our picks! I Hope we all love them!
I remember Gis saying something about swapping and I don't remember what else. LOL I'm totally fine with me book, but was she talking about swapping books with other group members or within our own or what?Thank for the PM Trisha because I had NOT seen this on my phone at all!
No prob Vicki!! So we had the option of 2 things.we could swap 1 book
and/or
Drop one book
if we swapped, we would be asking other groups to swap with us
if we dropped, we had 3 options to pick from - I don't remember them exactly but something like they give us three more options, or we take suggestions directly from the mods or one other...
anyway, I'm glad we're good with ours :)
Okay.Gisbelle responded so just in case you missed it, she said:
You guys may start the books, and reviews (optional) and rating should be posted in your group thread.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
so we can start anytime. another person just posted asking how long we have.
I had to order my book from the Link+ system so I should have it by the end of the week. Hopefully mid-week. Kindle would have been $8.89 and B&N $9.99.There is no rush to the finish line, right?
In case you all haven't heard, I am gaining a grandson-in-law. My oldest granddaughter is getting married in two weeks and I am SO excited and happy! Ky has been a "part of the family" for over two years now, but now it will be official. So I won't be getting any reading done two weekends from this one because it's a five hour plus drive there and another back. I can't believe how full of anticipation and excitement I feel. My son might be marrying them (he's the bride's dad) but that's not 100% decided yet. I'm already counting the great-grandkids to be. LOL Brianna will be a wonderful wife an and FANTASTIC mommy!!! No babies are planned yet, but I do know that they want children in the future. :o)
No, no rush that I know of!
and yes!! Congratulations!! That is so wonderful to be adding another happy family member!! That's a lot of quick planning for you guys!! :)
Congrats Vicki! That's so exciting!!They don't have my book available as an ebook at my library so I requested the physical book and hopefully it will be in next week! It's too much on Amazon- $12.99!
I'm so sorry guys, I will be starting my book THE VERY last day of February.....has anyone else started yet??
how are the books so far?!?!
The reading date is March 1-31 isn't it? You're not late. I haven't started because I'm reading other books and thought the reading frame is March 1-31.
oooh thank goodness! LOL for some reason I thought this went through 2/28!I was worried I would be late! LOL
Vicki is correct but I believe we are allowed to start early since we found out teams earlier than expected.
I've started my book, but unfortunately I'm not a big fan so far! There is so much bulling/hazing that goes on in this book and the teachers all know about it but just ignore it. Hopefully it gets a little better!
The only reason I'm already reading my copy is because I have to return it in order to pick up another book I need from Link+. You have the entire month of March, so no worries!
I read my pick
and I really liked it a lot! I had a hard time deciding how to rate it, but I rated it 4 stars.
I finished my book
and I did not like it very much. I rated it 2 stars. It was about a high school where it is tradition for the seniors to bully the freshman. The teachers all know about it but they look the other way because it is "tradition" and they are scared of the seniors. I didn't like it because the students in the school were all suffering from a bunch of different issues and the bullying on top of it really affected the students and even pushed some to attempted suicide. I really didn't like that the teachers and parents did not step up to try to help these teenagers. The book picked up a little more in the 2nd half and had a little more character depth/growth in the end. All in all, I never regret reading anything!
I'm so so sorry I took so long guys.I'm FINALLY Done!!
